"Strip Nude For Your Killer (1975/Blu-ray/Blue Underground)" Review

Review: Giallo films have been something that has caught my attention very much over the past few years and I have noticed that there is a couple categories that you can usually put these films in. They are usually either filled with gore and atmosphere like Argento's work or they go more towards the sex and violence filled film like the film we have here Strip Nude For Your Killer. Which if you seriously pickup this film and don't realize what you are getting into after reading the title than you need to just quit watching film completely. Anyways with a title like that you should expect nothing but top notch sleaze, but is that what you get? Read on to find out!

Well with a big creepy smile on my face I can say yes you do! Like with a good amount of films in the sleaze category you get a pretty basic plot. Strip Nude For Your Killer centers around a leather clad killer with a motorcycle helmet that is going around killing models and anyone else who is associated with a certain model studio. One by one they get picked off as a detective and a model from the studio try to figure out who the killer really is. As you would of guessed there is an abundance of nudity along the side of some violence and even some comic relief. One thing I must point out is that if you are looking for Argento or Fulci style of crazy amounts of gore than you may be let down because there is gore but nothing too shocking. All of it is pretty basic and comprised of mainly stab wounds that spew a very unrealistic looking blood. To me this film delivers the nudity way better.
Now as far as what you get in the characters there is Carlo (Nino Castelnuovo) who is a playboy like ladies man photographer who brings some comic relief, Gisella (Giuliana Cecchini aka Amanda) is the own of the modelling studio, Maurizio (Franco Diogene) who is a heavy set man who works at the studio and seems to have trouble with the ladies, he also brings some of the comic relief. I also want to mention most people will notice him from Midnight Express where he plays the sleazy lawyer. There is also the Police Commissioner (Lucio Como), Patrizia (Solvi Stubing) and Magda (Edwige Fenech) to name a few. Overall the cast and acting in this film is not bad at all, actually it's quite good from what I originally expected.
When it comes down to it I found Strip Nude... to be a good giallo, it may not be amazing by any means but it also is not a terrible film. I find it right in the middle. Most people I would suggest this film to would have to be mainly those who enjoy euro sleaze films and gaillos because like I stated before it's a mixture of both types of films. Aside from the film itself I must say that Blue Underground did an amazing job on this release, the picture is very clean and clear of debris, but will all the grain still intact. Also you get a choice of English DTS-HD Mono or Italian DTS-HD Mono soundtrack to choose from. As well as extras that include International Trailer, Italian Trailer, Poster & Still Gallery, and also a featurette called Strip Nude For Your Giallo that has interviews with actress Solvi Stubing and co-writer Massimo Felisatti.
Overall this is a well rounded giallo that does not skimp on the sleaze nor does it skimp on the suspense! I say go get this one now you sleaze freaks!
