Broken Gravestones-"Let Sleeping Corpses Lie" Review

Review: From their shallow graves rises Broken Gravestones with an EP that is sure to bury all those who oppose! This is the debut EP from Broken Gravestones and I must say that this is seriously some of the absolute best death metal I have had the pleasure of listening to in quite awhile.
These guys stick very much to the sound and style of the early 90's death metal scene. Without emulating but very much sounding like early efforts of Hypocrisy, Obituary, and Grave to name a few. As you probably already realize that the name of this album is that of the name of the 1975 zombie classic "Let Sleeping Corpses Lie" and the lyrics reflect this bands love for horror films as well which instantly made me through this one in. What you get is a total of 6 track in which 2 of them are demo tracks and the album clock in around 30 minutes.  For the most part the tracks last around 5 minutes each except track 1 which is an intro track that last about 1 minute and also track 2 which is more around 7 minutes. For the most part they mix it up between blastbeat pacing and a more mid-paced bone grinding speed. Overall this is a fantastic debut from a Broken Gravestones and it leaves me wanting to hear more from them! Highly recommended to fans of old school death metal!
