"Final Curse-Constructing the Destructive"

Review: Final Curse from North Carolina bring an old school thrash metal sound that is executed quite well. The album kicks off with a riff that sounds like something you'd hear from Slayer back in their prime, then suddenly we fall into a clean section that doesn't exactly seem to belong in the same track, but somehow they manage to make it work as an amazing interlude that actually turns out to be fairly epic. Though they have some clean moments here and there this band's main objective is to melt faces. The riffs get pretty technical at times and manage to keep you on your toes for the entire playtime. The vocals are rough and blend excellent with the music, a growl or two is also added to the mix on occasion. The band takes plenty of time to show off their killer rhythm section, "Never Gone (Our Fallen Brothers)" is the perfect example of this, complete with complex moments and riffs that will have your head banging heavily this song is nothing short of a modern day classic. Basically this band takes the sound of Metallica, Megadeth, and Slayer puts it all in a big melting pot and adds their own twist to the sound. I know that doesn't sound like the best formula in the world but Final Curse gives it their all and it pays off. If you need bullshit free thrash with balls of steel Final Curse is one of the best choices you could ever make.
