Comatose Vigil "Not a Gleam of Hope" Review

One thing came to mind when I first saw this bands cover art and name, and that was “Doom”, and well that is exactly what I got. At the start of this album it breaks into a slow rhythm with a dreary atmosphere and continues like this throughout the album. The death metal vocals I think really help to accentuate the torment and sorrow that the lyrics describe. If you are into doom metal that is a more mid to fast pace than you may want to pass this one up, but if you want an album that will grab you and push you into a somber state than you are going to want to pick this album up. Overall I found this album to be very well done and one that I will listen to many more times to come. For fans of Insanity Reigns Supreme, and Loss.
