Terrorizer "Darker Days Ahead" Review

This is the first release from these guys since 1989 and it is also their sophomore release as well, but on this release only Pete Sandoval (Morbid Angel) and Jesse Pintado are the only original members. Unlike their classic “World Downfall” this album bring nothing original to the table. Even though the album has a typical death metal sound and feel to it does not mean it isn’t a good album. With songs that are a bit longer than their previous effort and a sound that at times that has a more epic sound keeps you attention longer. The vocals are quite good but the lyrics aren’t as good as I think they could be, but now when it comes to the musical part you have some great drumming from Pete and a good guitar/bass onslaught and all that mixed together makes a good but unfortunately not great album. Overall the album has its good parts but it tends to be too repetitive for my taste. For fans of Morbid Angel, Immolation, and Napalm Death.
