"Worm (2010)" Review

Review: This is a new short film that is directed by Richard Powell who I am not familiar with, but after watching this film I can say he has talent. Basically this film follows a teacher who secretly hates the world around him and the only time you really hear how he feels is the naration he gives throughout the film that is supposed to be his thoughts. The further and further that you get into the film the more intense it gets. I can say one thing that the ending kinda came to me by surprise and truly hit me hard. The total length of this film is around 22 minutes and  they really got alot into this film. The main charater Geoffrey Dodd (played by Robert Nolan) simply blew me away and he played the role very believably and realistic. Other than him there is a few other characters, but all them basically play a minor role and do not stick out as much. One thing that would be cool is if they could go back and shoot some scenes that have him acting out his thoughts or show the things he is thinking about the person happen and they could put it as an alternative gore cut of the film. Overall this is one of the best short films I have seen in a long time and it shows that the director has alot of promise when it comes to making a film.
